21st March, Mumbai: Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee called Rahul Gandhi the “biggest TRP” of PM Modi, as per sources. She said the BJP are not letting Parliament function as they want Rahul Gandhi to be the leader.
By Anupam Mishra, Indrajit Kundu: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday at an internal party meeting in Murshidabad district. Mamata Banerjee told TMC workers that Rahul Gandhi is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “biggest TRP”, according to sources.
The West Bengal CM said that the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to keep Rahul Gandhi as leader, adding that if Rahul Gandhi is the face of the Opposition, then nobody will be able to criticize PM Modi, sources added.
“Otherwise, has anyone ever seen that someone said something abroad and there is a lot of ruckus here over that? We want Parliament to remain open and talks should be held on the Adani issue and LIC issue. But why are talks not happening on the Adani issue? Why are talks not happening on LIC? Why is there no discussion about the price of gas? Amidst all this, the Uniform Civil Code copy has been introduced. We do not accept the Uniform Civil Code and we will not allow it to be implemented,” Mamata Banerjee said to TMC workers.
Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee’s comment comes amid the logjam in Parliament over row over remarks made by Rahul Gandhi remarks during his recent trip to the UK.
