Tricked Into Visiting The Medical College

In a peculiar incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, a 20-year-old Mujahid got tricked into undergoing a sex change surgery at a local medical college. The accused Omprakash, persuaded Mujahid to visit Begrajpur Medical College in Mansoorpur, after falsely alleging a medical issue for two years. Then at the medical college, Mujahid was given anesthesia and his sex change surgery was conducted by Dr. Farooqui.

Mujahid later recalled that when he regained consciousness, he was told that he had been changed from a boy to a girl. Reportedly, Omprakash had been harassing Mujahid for the last two years and threatened Mujhaid to live with him, as his family or his community would not accept him. Omprakash further threatened to kill Mujahid’s father and capture his family's land to sell it. Omprakash also had a lawyer prepared for a court marriage with Mujahid.

Protests By The Bharatiya Kisan Union

This bizarre incident led to widespread outrage by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), led by leader Shyam Pal. There were protests at the medical college, where activists demanded the police comprehensive investigation on the matter and advocated for legal action to be taken against Omprakash. Mujahid’s father had filed a complaint against Omprakash on June 16, after which he was arrested.

BKU leader Shyam Pal unraveled a concerning point to be considered when he suggested that the hospital is part of an organ trafficking racket, targeting people for involuntary organ harvesting and forced sex change. He requests for the hospital management to be charged under the functioning of an illegal business.
