The largest aluminum producer in India, Vedanta Aluminium, collaborated with the Government of Odisha's Directorate of Factories and Boilers to conduct a complete one-day industrial safety training session at its Jharsuguda facilities. Under the auspices of the Department of Labour and ESI (Employees’ State Insurance), the Government of Odisha, this initiative is being spread throughout the state's various industrial zones with the ultimate goal of developing a strong safety culture and raising industry professionals' awareness of safety.
The training program was graced by the following notable individuals: Shri Swaroop Jena, Deputy Director of Factories & Boilers, Sambalpur Division, Govt. of Odisha; Smt. Archana Das, Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers, Jharsuguda, Govt. of Odisha; and Shri Umakanta Samantary, Assistant Director of Factories & Boilers, Sambalpur, Govt. of Odisha. Leading instructors from the prestigious Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) Pvt. Ltd., the training program covered important subjects like behavior-based safety, process safety, leadership, fire and explosion safety, and risk-based thinking.
The comprehensive program provided participants with insightful knowledge and useful skills to enhance safety procedures in their respective fields. More than 400 people from a variety of Western Odisha businesses attended the event, demonstrating its high level of popularity.
