Actor Imran Khan was detained by Mumbai Police on October 10 during a protest supporting the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).

The protesters demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in voter lists.

Police said the protest did not have permission to take place at August Kranti Maidan. They cited rules allowing protests at Azad Maidan.

After his detention, Imran shared a post on social media with the caption, “Apparently I’m going for a drive.”
