As per Mid-Day, Bollywood actor Dino Morea was arrested by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in the alleged Mithi River desilting scam.

However, Morea denied reports of his arrest or detention. The EOW confirmed that he was being questioned, but had not confirmed his arrest.

The case involves alleged financial irregularities in contracts for cleaning Mumbai’s Mithi River. Investigators are probing a loss of ₹65.54 crore to the BMC.

Morea and his brother, Santino Morea, were questioned in the case in May 2025.
