India’s women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 147 runs in the Asian Games final on Tuesday.

India scored 216 runs for three wickets, with Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh playing important roles.

India’s bowlers stopped Sri Lanka at just 69 runs, with Deepti Sharma taking three important wickets.

The victory helped India retain the women’s cricket gold medal after also winning the title at the 2023 Asian Games.
