Neeraj Chopra throws season best of 88.05m to finish second in Lausanne Diamond League.
Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage bagged the gold at the Lausanne Diamond League with his best shot of 88.14 metres, whereas India’s double Olympic medallist threw his best of 88.05 metres to register a silver.
The Lausanne Diamond League result was the third time this season that Pathirage got over the better of the Indian javelin thrower.
Meanwhile, it extended Chopra’s dry spell for title as his last success came at the Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru in July last year. However, the return to the 88 metre mark would be good news for him.
