Nepal has been hit by one of the worst natural disasters in the last several years, with flash floods triggered near the Nepal-China border in the areas of the Bhote Kosi river.
The natural disaster had led to an immediate international response as foreign nationals have been trapped in the affected region. Indian citizens have turned out to be part of the largest number of people reported as missing.
The death toll from the floods has climbed to 788 on Sunday as more bodies are being pulled out from the river and more than 2,500 still remain unaccounted for.
Nepal announced that it has started burying and marking the recovered bodies after taking DNA samples so that relatives could retrieve their loved ones.
