Journalist Richa Parashar has filed a police complaint against Rahul Gandhi, seeking an FIR over an alleged incident during an October 12 protest.

Parashar alleged that Gandhi grabbed her hand and pulled her before security personnel pushed her. She claimed she fell down the stairs and suffered injuries.

The journalist has sought action under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, alleging assault, injury and the use of criminal force.

The BJP criticised Gandhi over the allegations, while Congress leaders disputed her account and called it political propaganda.
