Indian skipper Shubman Gill becomes one of the youngest Indian players to score 3,000 runs in Test Cricket.
The 24-year-old India captain etched this milestone on Day 1 of the second Test against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.
This landmark for Gill came in his 43rd Test match. With this milestone, Gill now joins the list with great names like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Dilip Vengsarkar.
At 26 years and 349 days, Shubman Gill became the fourth-youngest Indian player to reach this mark. Sachin Tendulkar is the youngest player to reach the landmark at 23 years and 228 days.
