Shubman Gill hit an unbeaten 223 off 133 balls against West Indies in the second ODI in Guwahati on Wednesday. His innings included 26 fours and eight sixes.
Gill reached his double century in just 117 balls. He became the fastest batter to score 200 runs in ODI cricket.
His 223 not out became the highest individual score in a successful ODI run chase, adding another major record to his name.
With this innings, Gill became only the second Indian after Rohit Sharma to score more than one ODI double century.
