Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the fast-growing Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), arrived in India from the United States on Saturday morning, carrying a biography of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Delhi airport.

He is arriving just before the party’s high-profile protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The demonstration is set to be held at 10 AM in efforts to call for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over perceived failures in handling examination-related controversies.

Due to the recent concerns regarding the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case as well as alleged irregularities in the CBSE's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, which is employed for examining and re-examining Class 12 board exam scores, national visibility is gained through the protests.

Sonam Wangchuk Believes in the Protest

Sonam Wangchuk is the social activist that said he's joining the protest.

Wangchuk explained in a message posted on social media that problems within India's education system extend further than its recent controversies and need immediate corrective action.

After decades of education reform in remote government schools, he emphasized that systemic reform is needed now more than ever.

Wangchuk also called for accountability from those responsible for the current situation.

How the Cockroach Janta Party Rose to Fame

The Cockroach Janta Party was originally created as a satirical movement after remarks made during a court hearing last month.

The group quickly evolved into something much more of a youth-driven effort and rapidly captured the vast majority of online followers.

Millions of young Indians have identified with its slogan, “A political front for the youth, by the youth, for the youth.”

And the party said that its account on Instagram now has over 22 million followers, one of the biggest numbers of political movements on it.

CJP also announces its spokesperson team ahead of the protest.

Saurav Das, an investigative journalist, is designated Chief Spokesperson, and political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya and former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka will represent the CJP to the public and the media.

With newfound online support and a string of high-profile figures signing up for the movement, scrutiny has now turned to both the CJP's statement at Jantar Mantar and its effect on the continued ongoing discourse around India's education system.
