Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi is one of India's experienced politicians and a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was born on 27 November 1962 in Vijayapura, Karnataka. Over the years, he has built a strong political career through hard work, discipline, and public service.

Joshi began his political journey with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and later became actively involved with the BJP. He first gained recognition as the Mayor of Hubballi before entering national politics. In 2004, he was elected as the Member of Parliament from Dharwad, Karnataka, and has successfully retained the seat in every Lok Sabha election since then.

As a Union Minister, Pralhad Joshi has handled several important portfolios. He served as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines, where he focused on improving parliamentary functioning and increasing coal production. Later, he was entrusted with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, playing a key role in India's food security and renewable energy initiatives.
