A woman from Noida who married a man she met on a dating app was found dead at her home. This happened than six months after they got married.
The woman was thirty one years old. She was found hanging in her home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12. At first it seemed like she killed herself.. Now the police are investigating because they think her husband and his family might have hurt her.
The woman met her husband on a dating app in 2024. They started talking. Got married in December 2025. Her husband is a lawyer in Bhopal. His father used to be a judge.
After they got married the woman moved from Noida to Bhopal. She lived with her husband and his family in the Bagh Mugalia Extension-Katara Hills area.
The womans family says she was not happy in Bhopal. She wanted to go to Noida. She would call her family often. Talk to them. She even called her father thirty minutes before she died. She told him that her husband and his mother were being mean to her. The family says the husband also hit her.
The police first thought the woman killed herself.. The family said they did not think it was a suicide. They said the woman had injuries on her body. So the police started investigating. They are looking into the possibility that the woman was killed because of dowry.
The police have filed a case against the husband and his mother. A special team is investigating the case. They will look into all the allegations.
The family is not happy with the way the police are handling the case. They do not think the post-mortem examination was done correctly. They want another examination done at a hospital.
