Man Criticises Indian Hospital System Over Long Wait for Grandmother

A man has strongly criticised the Indian hospital system after his elderly grandmother had to wait for several hours at a private hospital for a simple medical visit. His post has gone viral on social media and started a debate online.

Long Wait for Ultrasound and Report

The post was shared by Ankit Pandey on X (formerly Twitter). He said he took his grandmother for a routine check-up when the doctor advised an ultrasound.

According to him, they waited around two hours for the ultrasound and another two hours for the report. He claimed that although an ultrasound report usually takes only a short time, they received it much later.

By that time, the doctor had already left, and they were asked to return the next day.

Concerns About Senior Citizen Care

In his post, the man questioned why there is no proper priority system for elderly patients in hospitals. He said senior citizens often face unnecessary delays and lack of coordination in healthcare services.

He also expressed frustration, saying that hospitals seem to test the patience of patients instead of providing quick treatment.

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

The post sparked strong reactions online. Some users expressed concern and agreed that hospitals need better systems for elderly care and faster service.

Others pointed out that medical delays can also depend on workload and procedures, not just waiting time pressure.

Many users stressed that senior citizens should be treated with more dignity and given priority in healthcare systems.
