Woman Throws Ink at Maruti Suzuki GM in Chhattisgarh
The shocking incident in Chhattisgarh went viral after a woman employee attacked and threw ink at the General Manager of a Maruti Suzuki showroom. The lady alleged that the GM subjected her to harassment and sent lewd messages.
The incident is said to have occurred on 22 May at Chauhan Automobiles, Bhilai, Durg district. The situation escalated after a police officer showed up at the showroom following the woman employee filing a complaint.
Viral Video Shows Attack Inside Showroom
It gets viral in video demonstrating a police attack on the showroom. A video which is now being seen all over social media illustrates a policeman going into the showroom together with General Manager Ankit Anand.
The woman employee then allegedly threw ink on his face in front of employees. The footage also shows the woman continuing to attack and slap the GM while the policeman tried to stop things from getting worse. This dramatic scene inside the showroom quickly drew attention online.
Woman Accuses GM of Harassment
Amrita Singh - the woman employee - made a written complaint accusing Ankit Anand, chief executive officer, Chauhan Automobiles, of repeatedly sending obscene messages and making inappropriate remarks.
Police officials said the complaint is being taken seriously and an investigation has already started. The concern was also brought to the surface after a number of other employees allegedly also came forward with similar allegations against the GM.
Police Open Detailed Investigation
Satyaprakash Tiwari, the CSP of Bhilai Nagar, said because of allegations and it had serious implications, the case was presently being investigated by senior-level officers. Complaints are now being investigated, and all evidence related to the incident is being reviewed.
The video and harassment accusations gone viral have led to an outpouring online, along with lots of people crying to get the case under control and to let authorities do an accurate investigation.
