Navi Mumbai: What began as a dream between two school friends has evolved into a mission to make everyday life safer through technology. Meet Rohan Gaikwad and Rohan Mortate, the co-founders of QwickReach—a bootstrapped startup developing smart QR-based safety solutions for vehicles, children, pets, and families across India.

The two founders have known each other since their school days at Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Vidyalay, Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Their friendship continued through college, where, instead of following conventional career paths, they shared a common ambition—to build businesses that could solve real-world problems.

Their entrepreneurial journey, however, was anything but easy.

Before launching QwickReach, the duo experimented with multiple ventures, including Mom Made Cakes, The MOMO MONKEY, Prime Hospitality (Packaged Drinking Water), and Adhira Organics. While each venture provided valuable lessons, none achieved the success they had envisioned.

Rather than giving up, the founders shifted their focus to identifying a problem that affected millions of people in their daily lives.

According to the founders, the turning point came after repeatedly witnessing a common yet overlooked situation—a wrongly parked vehicle causing traffic congestion while its owner remained unreachable. In several instances, emergency vehicles such as ambulances were delayed because no one could contact the vehicle owner.

During their research, they observed that many vehicle owners displayed their personal mobile numbers on their dashboards to help others reach them. Although practical, the practice also exposed users to privacy concerns, including spam calls, harassment, misuse of personal information, and potential fraud.

This observation led to the creation of QwickReach.

The startup introduced a smart QR sticker that allows anyone to contact a vehicle owner by scanning a QR code, while keeping both parties' phone numbers completely private. The system works without requiring users to install a mobile application or exchange personal contact details.

Over time, the platform expanded beyond solving parking-related issues.

QwickReach now allows users to securely store emergency family contacts while providing quick access to essential emergency services such as Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade, and Women's Safety Helpline through a single QR profile.

The founders describe their vision as creating one simple QR code that can assist people during critical situations when every second matters.

Despite developing multiple products and expanding their technology, the company remains entirely bootstrapped. According to the founders, QwickReach has been built without investors, external funding, or financial backing. To make the solution accessible to more families, the company follows a one-time purchase model with lifetime service, eliminating recurring subscription or renewal charges.

As part of its launch initiatives, QwickReach is also offering free FASTag recharge with its Car QR Stickers for the first 500 users.

While researching broader public safety concerns, the founders were struck by another challenge—missing children. India reports tens of thousands of missing child cases every year, with younger children being particularly vulnerable in crowded public places such as malls, fairs, railway stations, beaches, parks, and festivals.

This inspired the development of the QwickReach Child Safety QR Tag.

The solution enables anyone who finds a separated child to instantly connect with the child's parents by scanning the QR code, without exposing either party's personal phone number.

The founders have also presented their child safety proposal to the Mayor of Navi Mumbai and the Deputy Commissioner of Education, with the objective of promoting safer school environments through technology.

Recognizing similar challenges faced by pet owners, the company later expanded into pet safety.

The QwickReach Pet Tag enables anyone who finds a lost pet to contact its owner instantly through a QR scan while maintaining complete privacy of personal contact details.

Today, QwickReach is positioning itself as more than a QR sticker company. It aims to build a connected safety ecosystem focused on privacy, faster communication, and emergency assistance.

The founders envision a future where every vehicle, every child, every pet, and every family can reconnect quickly during unexpected situations using a simple QR code.

Their entrepreneurial journey reflects the resilience often associated with startup founders. Despite several failed ventures, the duo continued pursuing solutions to real-life challenges, eventually transforming their observations into a technology-driven safety platform.

As the startup continues to grow, its founders believe this is only the beginning of a larger mission to make everyday life safer through simple, accessible innovation.
