Former New Zealand cricketer Corey Anderson will now play for USA

The powerful all-rounder who made his debut in international cricket for New Zealand, will now be seen playing for the American team. Corey has been selected in the USA team for the T20 series against Canada.

USA has announced the team for the T20 series against Canada, as part of its preparations for the T20 World Cup 2024, In this, former all-rounder Corey Anderson, who played international cricket for New Zealand, has got a place in the USA team. Corey will return to international cricket after 5 years. The five-match T20 series between America and Canada is going to start from April 7 this year. Unmukt Chand has unfortunately not been able to be available for selection, hence he was not included in the USA squad.

Corey Anderson played his last match in the year 2018

Former New Zealand team all-rounder Corey Anderson played his last international match for the Kiwi team 5 years ago in 2018. After this he settled in America and is now ready to return to international cricket again. Corey has got to play 13 Tests, 49 ODIs and 485 T20 matches for the New Zealand team. During this period, he has scored 683 runs in Test, 1109 runs in ODI and 485 runs in T20. Corey has taken a total of 90 wickets so far in all three international formats. He also has 1 century each in Test and ODI.

Former player who was part of RCB team also got place

Apart from Corey Anderson, Indian Under-19 team player Harmeet Singh has also got a place in the USA team for the 3-match T20 series announced against Canada. Batsman Milind Kumar, who was once a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in IPL, has also been successful in making his place in the USA team.

Corey Anderson has had a brilliant international career. He has scored 683 runs in 13 test matches for New Zealand. Has taken 16 wickets during this period. He has scored 1109 runs in 49 ODI matches. 60 wickets have been taken during this period. Anderson has scored 485 runs in 31 T20 matches. Has taken 14 wickets in this format.

Corey Anderson has now permanently left New Zealand and has settled in America. Because of this he has got permission to play. Anderson will return to international cricket after about 5 years. He played his last match for New Zealand in November 2018. After this he settled in America in 2020. Here he started playing in domestic T20 matches. Now he has become a part of America’s main team. Anderson had scored 900 runs in 28 innings in a league. Because of this he was in the news a lot.
