Harry Potter showed us that we can overcome even the most formidable foes if we have bravery and resiliency. He showed us that life is always a little bit easier when we have the proper companions by our side. Harry Potter Day is celebrated annually to honour Harry’s bravery and courage. Naturally, this provides even another justification for returning to the magical realm. History

J.K. Rowling began writing the Harry Potter books in 1998, and the films based on those books began production in 2001. Nonetheless, Harry Potter Day was created ten years after the films were completed. Harry Potter Day was declared on May 2 of each year by the then-President of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, to honour Harry’s bravery and tenacity. The date was frequently misunderstood to be Harry Potter’s birthday. A true Potterhead, however, is aware of the true cause: on May 2, Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter’s adversary, was vanquished in the Great Battle of Hogwarts.
