Shah Rukh Khan Unites India's Best Musical Voices for 2027
Shah Rukh Khan curates UNIFYD music festival for Abu Dhabi.

India's superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to host an international music festival that will see the biggest names in the country's music scene. The actor has announced UNIFYD, which will take place in Abu Dhabi in March 2027 and will feature performances by singer Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh and Punjabi rapper Karan Aujla. Tickets are due to go on sale shortly via the District app.

Shah Rukh Khan takes on music in a light-hearted manner

The star made the announcement for the music festival in a promotional video, where he can be seen attempting to play a number of musical instruments, including the keyboard, saxophone, drums, guitar and violin. He also tries his hand at singing before giving up and leaving it to the professionals.

"Music, how hard can it be?" Shah Rukh can be heard saying at the start of the video, before giving up after his efforts. "Let's just leave this to the pros."

The promotional video for the music festival then shows off concert footage of Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, and Karan Aujla, before concluding with Shah Rukh Khan speaking directly to the camera about the importance of uniting people through music.

Singer Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh and Karan Aujla headline the music festival

The music festival, which has been curated by Shah Rukh Khan himself, will also feature his brand D'YAVOL, owned by his son Aryan Khan, as one of its brand partners. The festival's social media post described it as a celebration showcasing India's biggest musical voices on one day.

The post also received a number of positive comments from social media personalities, including Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan, who reacted with heart emojis, while Karan Aujla also commented on the post.

Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh and Karan Aujla each have very different styles of music, with the former being one of India's most popular playback singers, having recorded hundreds of Hindi film songs. Arijit Singh has also sung numerous chart-busting Bollywood tracks, while Karan Aujla has been a dominant Punjabi rapper and singer who has also starred in a number of Hollywood movies.

Arijit Singh recently announced in January 2026 that he would be quitting playback singing, so his appearance at the music festival is sure to be a highlight for fans.

As Shah Rukh Khan preps for his next film

As well as hosting the music festival in Abu Dhabi, the superstar is also currently preparing for his next film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film will also star his daughter, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, and a host of other big names.

The actor has already released three major films this year, Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, and is set to begin shooting for King soon, with the film due to be released on December 24.
