Man in 60s Detained in Norfolk

Mountbatten-Windsor was not publicly identified, consistent with British policing practice. But when pressed later on whether he had been arrested, the force said it had referred to an earlier statement that said a man in his sixties had been arrested.
The Thames Valley Police said that they had “arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk” in a statement.

New Claims of 2010 Sex Encounter

Thames Valley Police is investigating allegations that a second woman was brought by Jeffrey Epstein to the UK for a sexual encounter with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The purported meeting occurred at Royal Lodge in Windsor in 2010, at Andrew’s prior address. The woman, who was in her twenties, is not British. Rigorous scrutiny follows the release of photos and further email transfers between Andrew and Epstein. 

Sensitive Trade Docs Shared?

Another allegation that is under scrutiny is that Andrew shared potentially sensitive documents with Epstein while acting as the United Kingdom’s trade envoy. The police said that it was assessing the allegations that he sent reports on trade to Epstein in 2010.
“Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office,’’ the statement said.

Giuffre Alleges Trafficking at 17

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Mr. Epstein’s victims, said the financier had trafficked her to Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor in 2001 when she was a teenager, and that he had sex with her several times.
Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor repeatedly denied Ms. Giuffre’s charges and has denied any wrongdoing as to his relationship with Mr. Epstein.
In 2022, he paid Ms. Giuffre an undisclosed sum to settle a lawsuit in a New York court where she claimed he had raped or sexually abused her at the age of 17. In the statement announcing the settlement, Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor did not acknowledge Ms. Giuffre’s allegations against him. 

Decade of Epstein Scandal Haunts Royals

Despite Andrew’s longstanding denial of any wrongdoing connected with his friendship with Epstein, concern about Mountbatten-Windsor’s connections to the late financier has plagued the royal family for well over 10 years.
