The trio hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon just 48 hours after a surprise cameo when they appeared on Saturday Night Live alongside teammate Megan Keller.

Fallon Teases Jack Hughes’ Toothless Goal Host Jimmy Fallon was just caught up in a joke about Jack Hughes losing a tooth before taking the overtime gold-medal.

“That’s the most hockey thing ever,” Fallon chuckled, as Jack said his new gap-toothed look “won’t be my thing.”

Jack announced brother Quinn was the first person to call to check in when Canada’s Sam Bennett high-sticked him late in the final. 

“He was like, ‘This isn’t so bad, it’s only chipped,’” Jack joked — with only minutes left in a heated gold-medal contest.

 Asked to describe what was scarier — competing in the Olympics or being on SNL — Knight responded instantly: “SNL.”

Knight also recalled telling her mom when she was five years old that she wanted to play Olympic hockey — before women’s hockey entered the Games. 

 “I’m just dialed in like that,” she said.

At 36, Knight won her second Olympic gold medal alongside what she has said will be her last Olympic title.

Playing Through Injury & A Surprise Engagement

Knight told CBS Mornings that she entered the tournament with a torn MCL. Although injured, she tied the gold-medal final up against Canada with just over two minutes in regulation.

 She credited her medical team with helping her make it through both physical and mental challenges. 

Not only did Knight get engaged to US speedskater Brittany Bowe during the Milan trip, it was in part to fit into her fairytale run. Fallon jokes about why she had to propose on a grate rather than grass — and whether she almost dropped the ring.

 “Almost,” Knight laughed. “I like high-pressure situations.”

Olympic High, Tough Return After the Games, Knight and teammates Kendall Coyne Schofield and Canada’s Erin Ambrose were placed on long-term injured reserve by their PWHL teams. 

Yet their Milan victory — and now the viral late-night appearances — have cemented this moment as one of the indelible chapters of Team USA hockey’s history.
