A Mumbai court on Friday remanded three men accused of providing logistical support in the Tiger Shroff firing case in police custody till October 28 as the investigation into the incident continues to unfold.

The accused, Ankit Khatri, Sameer Khatak and Jatin Panchal, were said to have provided logistical support to those who allegedly carried out the attack. The Mumbai Police sought to interrogate them to determine their role in the case.

Defense Questions Police Custody

The three accused, produced before the court on Friday, were opposed to the police custody as their advocates argued that they did not have any role in the incident.

They claimed that their clients were not present at the scene of the crime and questioned the need for their custodial interrogation. The defense added that the police had already recovered a bullet from the hotel room and obtained CCTV footage of the accused.

However, the court agreed to remand the three men in police custody till October 28 to help the investigation.

4 More Accused Remanded to Police Custody

The development comes as four more accused in the case were remanded in police custody by Esplanade Court in Mumbai on Thursday.

Kunal, 21, Sumit, 19, Radha, 23, and Babita, 23, were sent to judicial custody till October 26 after their plea for bail was rejected. The Delhi Police had arrested the four from Sonipat, Haryana, and New Delhi Railway Station.

The police alleged that the four had supplied weapons to those who injured Tiger Shroff and his team.

As Delhi Police continue to probe the incident, the focus is on investigating the conspiracy behind the attack as they zero in on the suspected support network.

Anil Pandit Mentioned as Wanted Accused

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch informed the Esplanade Magistrate’s Court on Thursday that Anil Pandit, 32, was a wanted accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case. The police alleged that the accused had directed the attack.

Pandit is alleged to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and is said to be based in the US. He reportedly shared a social media post taking credit for the Tiger Shroff attack.

Crime Branch Investigates CCTV Footage

As the Crime Branch conducts its probe, it reviews CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the sequence of events and the roles of the various accused.

It is focusing on the support network that provided weapons and logistical support to the attackers as it tries to establish the extent of their involvement in the case.
