Trump Mocks Iran's Apology as Surrender, Adds Targets in New Warning

Trump's Truth Social Warning

Soon after Pezeshkian’s message, Trump warned in a social media post on Saturday that more Iranian officials would be included in the war’s number of targets, writing, “Today Iran will be hit very hard!” In his remarks on his Truth Social website, Trump acknowledged Pezeshkian’s apology. 

“Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time,” Trump wrote.

Pezeshkian Slams Trump's Surrender Dream

Pezeshkian’s criticism of Trump’s urging Iran to simply surrender to America unconditionally continued. “That’s a dream that they should take to their grave,” he said.
Pezeshkian is one of the three members of the leadership council that oversees Iran since the joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Feb. 28 killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has since retaliated by targeting Gulf Arab states. Pezeshkian said on Saturday he and the other leadership council members were in contact with armed forces regarding the attacks. 

Sirens in Bahrain, Saudi Downs Drones

The AP wrote in the statement that sirens sounded in Bahrain early Saturday after Iran had targeted it and Saudi Arabia said that it had destroyed drones intended to strike the Shaybah oil field. It also shot down a ballistic missile launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia said. Multiple blasts were heard Saturday morning in Dubai.
The government confirmed it had activated air defenses, and long-haul carrier Emirates temporarily suspended, and then resumed, all flights to and from Dubai. Israel hit western Iran , striking a Tehran airport it alleges was used to deliver supplies to militant groups. In the meantime, while in Israel, civilians flocked to bomb shelters due to missiles from Iran.
