Maharashtra Political Shift
Maharashtra politics has seen a change with six Members of Parliament from Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena joining the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. This move has made the fight between the Shiv Sena groups more intense.
MPs Who Joined Shinde Camp
The six MPs who changed sides are Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav, Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure, Omprakash Nimbalkar, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh and Nagesh Patil Ashtikar.

Shiv Sena leaders who support Eknath Shinde welcomed the MPs and praised his leadership. Maharashtra minister Dadaji Bhuse said Eknath Shinde is working hard for the state and cares about every party worker.
He said, "We have seen how Eknath Shinde is taking the state forward. He thinks about every worker. We welcome people who want to join the Shiv Sena."
Dadaji Bhuse also said the future of the party will have "one Shiv Sena under Eknath Shinde's leadership". This is what senior BJP leader Amit Shah said before.
Shinde’s Statement on “Phase” of Split
Eknath Shinde called it the "phase" of the 2022 split.
He spoke at a press conference and welcomed the new MPs to his group. He linked their entry to the 2022 Shiv Sena rebellion that caused a split in Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde said, "We welcome these six Shiv Sena MPs to the Shiv Sena of Balasaheb Thackeray and Anand Dighe. The 2022 revolt was to save the Shiv Sena ideology. This is the second phase of that movement."
Reasons and Political Remarks
Eknath Shinde also said the MPs did not join for gain but to help their areas.
He took a dig at rival leader Sanjay Raut, saying his group already has "three Sanjays", so there is no need to think about others.
Strength of Shinde Camp
Eknath Shinde said his group has become stronger since the 2022 split. He said more MLAs support his group after the elections, which shows people support his leadership.
He said the new MPs believe in Balasaheb Thackeray's ideology and completed all steps before joining the party.
Opposition Reaction
The opposition is criticising Uddhav Thackeray's leadership and questioning his past decisions when he was Chief Minister.
Ongoing Political Tension
This change happened when there is already a lot of tension in Maharashtra politics. The MPs had skipped a meeting of the UBT faction in Delhi before.
