Growing Trouble in Shiv Sena (UBT)

The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) is facing a problem in Maharashtra. This problem is getting worse because some of the Shiv Sena (UBT) members who're part of the Lok Sabha are not happy with the party. They are saying that the party might join hands with the Congress, which is making a lot of people in the party very unhappy.

MPs Skip Key Meeting in Delhi

Six out of nine Shiv Sena (UBT) members did not go to an important meeting in New Delhi. This is a deal because it shows that there is a lot of disagreement within the party. Three members went to the meeting, which makes the fact that six members did not go very important.

People are saying that the members who did not go to the meeting have already signed a letter saying they want to be known as a group. This could be a step towards joining the part of the Shiv Sena that is led by Eknath Shinde.

Anti-Defection Law Comes Into Focus

In India there is a law that says if two-thirds of the members want to leave a party they can do so without getting into trouble. This is an important thing to consider right now.

Congress Merger Fear Behind Revolt

One of the reasons why the members are rebelling is because they think the Shiv Sena (UBT) might join hands with the Congress. The Shiv Sena (UBT) member Naresh Mhaske said that a lot of members are not happy with the party leaders and feel like they are being ignored. He said that times they asked to meet with Uddhav Thackeray but he did not meet with them.

Naresh Mhaske said that this made the members not trust the party leaders and they think that the party might work with the Congress in the future. He also said that a senior leader named Sanjay Raut is making decisions for the party, which is causing problems inside the party.

Sanjay Raut’s Strong Response

Sanjay Raut said some words against the members who are rebelling. He called them traitors. Said they were being disloyal. He said that if the members do not follow the party rules they will face action.

Sanjay Raut also said that the members were elected using the partys symbol so they have to listen to the party leaders. He said that the party is getting ready to take action against the members who are rebelling.

His words have made the situation more tense inside the party.

Counter Reaction from Party Spokesperson

The Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sheetal Mhatre said that Sanjay Raut should not have spoken aggressively. She said that the party should have talked to the members of threatening them.

She asked if all this fighting inside the party could hurt the party more and make the leaders not trust each other.

This shows that there is a gap in communication inside the Shiv Sena (UBT) and both sides are openly fighting with each other.

Security Cover for Rebel MPs

Because of all the tension the government of Maharashtra has given security to the six members who are rebelling. The security is like the kind given to important people.

The members who are getting this security are Sanjay Dina Patil, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Om Raje Nimbalkar, Bhausaheb Wakchaure, Sanjay Deshmukh and Sanjay Jadhav.

The government said they are doing this because the members might be, in danger when they move around Maharashtra.

Sanjay Raut said that if the members are so confident they should move around without security.

Conclusion: Uncertain Political Future

The Shiv Sena (UBT) is going through a tough time. With all the allegations and the members rebelling the party is facing a lot of uncertainty. The next few days will show if the party will split completely or if the members will work things out
