Presented by Arshi Group of Companies and The Luxurious Living, SHIULI is jointly produced by Susmita Adhikary and Dr. Nazim Munshi. The film tells a heartfelt story of love, emotions and cultural harmony through the relationship between a Bengali girl and a South Indian boy, demonstrating how human connections can transcend language and regional boundaries

.The film features lead performances by Rasil and Twinkle Barua, supported by acclaimed actors including Sudipta Chakraborty, Arshi Sen and Debesh Roychowdhury. Through SHIULI, director Babai Sen aims to create a platform for promising new artists while maintaining the commercial and emotional appeal expected by mainstream audiences.
Industry observers view the simultaneous release as an interesting contrast between two different cinematic approaches. On one side, ABHIMAAN arrives with the strength of an established star cast led by Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Subhashree Ganguly . On the other, SHIULI represents a new-generation filmmaking effort driven by fresh faces, emerging technicians and contemporary storytelling.

From a technical perspective, SHIULI has been developed with a strong focus on visual quality and theatrical presentation. The film’s cinematography has been handled by Manirul Islam, while Mainak Paul has supervised editing and DI. Post-production work has been completed by Anmol Filmz, ensuring a polished cinematic experience for audiences.

Music remains one of the film’s major highlights. The soundtrack has been composed by Pritam Deb and Adriz Ghosh, with songs rendered by Souvviek Kabi, Adriz Ghosh, Prashmita Paul, Sourav Dey and Abhijit Barman Pata. Following the successful release of its teaser, trailer and three songs, the makers are preparing to unveil another track on June 12 as part of the film’s final promotional phase.

Adding to its credentials, SHIULI has received a UA 13+ certification without any cuts, reflecting confidence in the film’s content and presentation ahead of release.

The film’s promotional campaign is being supported by Zion Media Tech, while public relations and marketing activities are being managed by SSD Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Distribution responsibilities have been entrusted to SSR Cinema Pvt. Ltd., with additional support from Arshi Entertainment, Chirag Group of Companies, CS Entertainment and ARYX Export Pvt. Ltd.

Speaking about the box-office clash, director Babai Sen emphasized that cinema should not be viewed as a competition between films but as a celebration of storytelling and artistic expression. He extended his best wishes to the entire team of ABHIMAAN and expressed hope that audiences would support both productions.

As Bengali cinema prepares for June 19, ABHIMAAN and SHIULI collectively represent the industry's evolving landscape—one driven by established stars and the other by emerging talent and fresh creative ambition. Together, the two films highlight the diversity, confidence and growing reach of contemporary Bengali cinema.
