Anahat started strongly and won the first game of the match 11-9 when the score was 8-7 in the first one.

The Indian remained composed in the second one, which was 8-8 and then she scored three straight points to have 11-8 and a 2-0 lead in the match. Tanvi lost the opening game 4-11 but responded strongly, winning the second 13-11. Then she won the third game 11-9 before holding her nerve in a dramatic fourth game to win 13-11.

The Indian was proactive in her shot selection and often tested Lee from the range.

On 11-11, Tanvi maintained her calm mind in extra time to close out the match and keep India’s hopes alive. The veteran Joshna Chinappa, however, failed to make the comeback and lost the final match to Ho Tze Lok 0-3 (4-11, 7-11, 9-11). The 40-year-old Indian battled hard particularly towards the end and saved five match points, but she could not match the speed of the world No. 39 Hong Kong player, who had taken the lead in the first two games. With the 2-1 win, Hong Kong advanced to the final and India finished with the Bronze medal in the women's team squash event.
