Missing Woman Found

A 45-year-old woman named Farida went missing from Kalempang village in South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. She was last seen on Thursday night and did not return home which made her family and villagers to start searching for her the next day.

Discovery of Belongings

During the search, Farida's husband found her belongings, which made him worried. The villagers continued searching the area and soon noticed a large python with a big belly.

The villagers then decided to cut open the python. As soon as they did, they saw Farida's head inside the snake. She was found with clothes.

Rare but Not Unheard

Such incidents are very rare but have happened in Indonesia before.

Last Year in Southeast Sulawesi, an eight-meter python killed a farmer. A similar incident took place in 2018 where a 54-year-old woman was found inside a seven-meter python in Muna town, Southeast Sulawesi.

In another incident that took place last year a farmer was eaten by a four-meter python in West Sulawesi at a palm oil plantation.

These incidents are uncommon but they highlight the danger posed by large pythons in some areas of Indonesia.
