Lok Sabha Election Results Announced

The Lok Sabha election results have been announced. Yesterday, the BJP and its allies, who won the elections, participated in the oath ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, also known as the President’s House. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oaths to all the new leaders. Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister, Amit Shah as Home Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar as Minister of External Affairs, and Nirmala Sitharaman as Finance Minister, along with other leaders who took oaths for their respective positions. They all pledged to serve the nation with utmost sincerity and made several commitments in their respective oaths. The ceremony was attended by more than a thousand guests, including many prominent international figures, Indian businessmen, Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, as well as religious leaders.

High-Profile International Attendance

Sheikh Hasina visited New Delhi to attend the oath ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his council of ministers as an international guest. During her visit, opposition leader Sonia Gandhi, along with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, also met with the Bangladesh PM Hasina . This event, which brought together top leaders from India's neighbourhood, also involved Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

According to reliable sources, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Muhammad Hasan Mahmud mentioned that Sheikh Hasina has shown her eagerness to collaborate with the new Indian government to enhance bilateral relations. "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi and his council of ministers. After the ceremony, she held a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which she congratulated him and the NDA on their election victory. She expressed her desire to work with the new government in the future to strengthen ties," Hasan Mahmud told. He also highlighted that the relationship between the two countries has reached a "new height" under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister Modi. Additionally, he said that she invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Bangladesh.
