The incident
The incident took place on June 9th and was a terrorist attack in the Reasi region of Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the pilgrims were on their way to visit the Hindu pilgrimage site, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, but the terrorist attack claimed their lives, preventing them from even entering the temple. It is reported that the bus had 53 passenger seats, resulting in nine deaths and 41 injuries. The terrorists fired at the bus near Teryath village while the pilgrims were traveling from Shivkhori temple to Mata Mandir in Katra. Reports indicate that approximately 10 people sustained bullet injuries.
Union Minister's Remarks
Now Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has also commented on this incident. He said that the attack was "deliberately carried out" on the same day Prime Minister Modi took oath at Rashtrapati Bhavan.'
"I believe terrorism has ended in the region of J&K. This attack was carried out deliberately, just to create fear as PM Narendra Modi forms the government for the third time. But if such incidents keep happening, then we have to start a war with Pakistan... A lot of terrorists enter India through PoK," the Union Minister stated.
Bollywood’s Silence and Social Media Backlash
Social media is shaming all Bollywood actors for not speaking out about the attack on Hindu pilgrims in Reasi. People are accusing Bollywood of being money-minded and unwilling to share any stories or speak up about the investigation needed for the Reasi attack.
Restriction of #AllEyesOnReasi on Instagram
The hashtag #AllEyesOnReasi is not allowed to be used on Instagram. When users attempt to share this hashtag, Instagram displays a message stating, “This hashtag is hidden. Posts for #AllEyesOnReasi have been limited because the community has reported some content that may not meet Instagram’s community guidelines.” Users on social media claim that Muslim’s ecosystem is so strong that they have effectively blocked the hashtag #AllEyesOnReasi.
Public Outrage and Demands for Justice
People on social media say that if the victim were Muslim, the entire world would be mourning and discussing Islamophobia. However, since he was a Hindu child killed by Islamic terrorists, it doesn’t seem to matter to anyone. Others are calling for an end to Islamic terrorism. One user pointed out, “Instagram was promoting #AlleyesonRafah but blocked #AllEyesOnReasi hashtag. @Meta @finkd is openly working on Left/Islamic line against India & Hindus. It’s high time the new government should grill them. They’ve been doing this for a long time. They allow only anti-Hindu content.”
