28 July 2023, Mumbai: In a surprising turn of events, a 34-year-old man who had gone missing from his rented home in Pathanamthitta district one-and-a-half years ago has been found alive in a village near Thodupuzha in Idukki district. The breakthrough came after his 25-year-old wife, Afsana, was arrested in connection with his disappearance.

Noushad, a resident of the Kalanjoor area in Pathanamthitta, had disappeared in November 2021 from his rented house. After thorough investigation, the police managed to trace him to Thommankuthu, where he had been working as a labourer on a farm.
Afsana’s Statement Raises Suspicion of Foul Play
In an intriguing development, Afsana provided a statement to the police claiming that Noushad was killed and his body was buried. Based on her statement, the police took her to several locations in an attempt to recover Noushad’s body. However, their search yielded no results.
