CJP Vows to Continue Protest Until Education Minister Resigns

Dipke also requested the Delhi Police to extend the permission for the ongoing protest, which the latter refused, stating that the demonstration was permitted only till 5 PM. 

CJP Demands Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

Addressing the crowd of thousands of students and supporters during CJP’s second protest organised over paper leaks and examination irregularities, Dipke asserted that although they would participate in dialogue, the condition for this is the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

“I request the authorities, since youth from across the country are here and want to continue sitting until we get justice. I urge Delhi Police to extend our permission. The protest has been peaceful; we are just innocent students seeking justice," Dipke said.

Delhi Police Denies Extension for Demonstration

Following the announcement by Dipke, Delhi Police emphasized that the permit was until 5 pm and requested the participants to leave the site, cancelling their extension application. However, CJP leaders said they will not move from the protest site. 

Afterwards, police began a peaceful evacuation by entering the protest grounds and asking the protesters to leave. 

Students Raise Slogans Against Paper Leaks

Earlier, amid high police presence, students had gathered at the venue raising slogans and holding placards to seek answers from the government over various examination-related issues. 

"Dharmendra Pradhan must resign" slogans filled the venue with protesters raising questions about the government's alleged lapses.

Open letter to PM Before Protest

Before Saturday's demonstration, Dipke had written an open letter to PM Narendra Modi demanding an explanation over the issues that had surfaced due to the examinations and have been raised by students.

The June 20 demonstration follows CJP's first protest at the Jantar Mantar, where the youth-centric organisation shed light on alleged paper leaks and irregular conduct of examinations.
