18th September 2023, Mumbai: Filmmaker Atlee’s latest cinematic offering, Jawan, has been raking in substantial earnings at both the domestic and global box office. According to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, on the 11th day of its release, Jawan successfully entered the prestigious ₹800 crore club in global box office collections.
Jawan enters the elite ₹800 cr club
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Manobala shared the impressive numbers, stating, “Jawan enters the elite ₹800 cr club at the WW Box Office. The film has sold 1,390,142 tickets from tracked shows alone in India on the 11th day.” He further provided a breakdown of the collections for Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil versions, highlighting the movie’s incredible success.
Jawan Box Office Collection
In Hindi shows, Jawan had 13,317 screenings, grossing ₹35.18 crore, with an average per-show collection of ₹26,417. In Telugu shows, there were 682 screenings, grossing ₹0.85 crore, and an average per-show collection of ₹12,463. Finally, in Tamil shows, there were 461 screenings, grossing ₹0.81 crore, and an average per-show collection of ₹17,570. The total collection amounted to ₹36.84 crore in India alone. Jawan made a remarkable impact at the box office from the moment of its release, with gross earnings of ₹90 crore on its first day, ₹64 crore on the second day, ₹93.5 crore on the third day, ₹96.3 crore on the fourth day, ₹40 crore on the fifth day, ₹31.2 crore on the sixth day, ₹28 crore on the seventh day, ₹25.9 crore on the eighth day, and ₹23 crore on the ninth day. On the tenth day (second Saturday), the film garnered an estimated ₹31.50 crore nett in India.

Shah Rukh Khan plays the dual roles of Vikram Rathore and his son Azad, addressing critical social and political issues through the characters.
