The Filmy Charcha Review Of OMG 2

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐

At the heart of the film “OMG 2” lies a thought-provoking discourse on the significance of sex education, shedding light on why its incorporation into school curricula is crucial. The film explores a puzzling irony, even though it promotes sex education for teenagers, it received an “A” rating from the Censor board. The sequel to “OMG,” called “OMG 2,” shines a spotlight on a fascinating contrast as it delves into the connection between sex education and divine intervention. However, as the narrative unfolds, a sense of incongruity emerges. While the movie fervently delves into the taboo subject of sex education, the seamless connection with the divine realm – as suggested by the film’s name – eludes discernible comprehension. The main question remains, was the concept impactful for divine help, like the messenger for Kanti Sharan?

It champions the necessity of sex education while simultaneously presenting a divine connection that might appear tangential. Despite the commendable endeavor to explore a crucial topic, the seamless intertwining of divine elements with the societal taboo feels like a missed opportunity to strike a harmonious chord.

OMG 2 Box Office Collection

According to the insights, the film, guided by early estimates, has amassed a nett India collection of ₹14.50 crore on its second day, an exhilarating follow-up to its ₹10.26 crore opening day earnings. The cumulative earnings of the film so far stand resolute at ₹24.76 crore, a testament to its magnetic pull on the audience. Delving into the fabric of OMG 2, the film unfurls with Pankaj Tripathi portraying Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devout follower of Lord Shiva. The cinematic narrative propels his character into a legal crusade against the education system, all in pursuit of justice for his son. Here, Akshay Kumar dons the role of a divine messenger, while Yami Gautam graces the screen as a lawyer, embodying her role with finesse.

We come from a strong, cultural, social and spiritual background. Because of our backdrop, whether it is a social drama or thriller film, we are mindful about what impact it (film) will have on the audience. As actors, we are always aware, as we have seen both urban and rural life closely.”
