29th July 2023, Mumbai: In a interview, Sharib Hashmi, the talented actor known for his roles in films like “Filmistaan” and “The Family Man,” shared the challenges he faced during his initial years in the entertainment industry.
The Early Struggles
After leaving his job as an in-house writer with MTV in 2009. Sharib delved into the world of auditions. His savings started dwindling, and he even had to borrow money from friends to support his family. It was during this tough phase that his wife came to the rescue, selling her jewellery and their house to make ends meet.
The Turning Point
Despite facing numerous rejections, Sharib remained determined to pursue acting in films. He even decided to take a job with Sony TV while continuing to audition. It was his appearance in a short film titled “Mehrooni” that caught the attention of casting director Shanoo Sharma, leading to his debut in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” in 2012.
