7th July 2023,Mumbai: Soon, Sonam Kapoor will be the sole famous Indian to watch the Wimbledon finals at the venerable All England Club in London. It is unknown what the actor—who is renowned for her fashion choices—will wear when she makes an appearance at Wimbledon in 2023.
Wimbledon, also referred to as the championships, is the oldest and most renowned tennis competition in the world. It started in 1877 and continues now. Next weekend’s men’s and women’s singles finals are slated to take place, however it is unknown if Sonam will attend.
At Paris Fashion Week, Sonam recently attended the Dior Autumn/Winter show. She was spotted wearing a black page boy hat, black brogue shoes, a beige A-line dress, and a beige Dior trench coat.
Sonam had previously attended the celebration of the UK-India friendship hosted by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at 10 Downing Street, where she made a fashion statement in a stunning pastel green saree with a white overcoat.
Sonam was the first Indian actor to be spotted during King Charles III’s coronation concert in England. She performed spoken word on stage while wearing an off-the-shoulder patterned white dress.
With the release of her movie Blind on Friday, Sonam made a comeback in the film industry. In the movie, she portrays a blind woman who is attempting to solve a murder mystery. Shome Makhija, the film’s director, it was released on JioCinema on July 7.
She last appeared in The Zoya Factor in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic and the birth of her son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, who she shares with her businessman-husband Anand Ahuja, last year.
In an interview with ANI, Sonam discussed her comeback and said, “I took two years off since I was pregnant and wanted to spend some time with my baby. I have committed to two projects that I will begin working on, one show and one feature, and the two years have not even come to an end yet. Because that is how films operate, the release date will be in another year. My plan is to produce no more than two pieces of material year because I also want to spend time with my family.”
