27th June 2023, Mumbai: Wednesday will see the release of Tum Kya Mile, the love ballad that accompanied the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani teaser and starred Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Arijit Singh sings the song, which was penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and was composed by Pritam.
Tum Kya Mile, the opening track from the romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, was unveiled on social media by Karan Johar’s production company, Dharma Prodcutions. The grouping of Amitabh Bhattacharya, Arijit Singh, Pritam, and Karan Johar was referred to as “the dream team.”
Another love song was earlier produced by Karan, Amitabh, Pritam, and Arijit for the soundtrack to the director’s most recent film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). The beloved Channa Mereya was also included in the well-known album. The primary actor, Ranbir Kapoor, who portrayed a singer with an unfulfilled love story, was included in both of the songs.
Since its brief appearance in the movie’s teaser, Tum Kya Mile has become a social media meme, particularly on Instagram Reels. This progression is comparable to that of last year’s love song “Kesariya,” which was penned by Amitabh, arranged by Pritam, and sung by Arijit. When Brahmastra’s lead actors Ranbir and Alia announced their real-life wedding, the song from Ayan Mukerji’s supernatural movie was first removed. The song’s shortened version quickly gained popularity, especially on Instagram Reels. Karan’s Dharma Productions also provided financial support for Brahmastra.
After Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan returns to directing with this movie. Veteran performers Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan also play significant roles. Ishita Moitra wrote the dialogue, and Sumit Roy and Shashank Khaitan co-wrote the script. Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios collaborated on the production of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The film is scheduled to open in theatres on 28 July and the trailer is anticipated to be released early the following month.
