5 July 2023, Mumbai: The teaser for the upcoming film “Bawaal,” starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, has been released, raising excitement among fans and film enthusiasts. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari of “Dangal” fame, “Bawaal” promises to be a captivating and emotionally charged experience. With high expectations surrounding the film, it is already being touted as their most expensive project to date.
The teaser provides a glimpse into the narrative, hinting at a tragic love story set against the backdrop of an ongoing war. Janhvi Kapoor, in her social media post, wrote, “Love never comes easy, get ready for some Bawaal!” The teaser opens with the two lead actors meeting each other followed by glimpses of their apparent sadness and eventual parting. Janhvi’s voiceover adds depth to the teaser as she expresses, “I took so much time in understanding our relationship that when I actually understood it, it was time to lose it.” The teaser concludes on a sombre note with a closed door symbolising the separation between the two characters.
Adding to the anticipation, a day before, Janhvi and Varun shared a romantic still from the film featuring them in an embrace. The caption accompanying the image reads, “I would have loved you a lot had you allowed me to love you,” further hinting at the emotional turmoil that awaits audiences.
The filming of “Bawaal” has taken place across various international locations such as Paris, Berlin, Poland, Amsterdam, Krakow, Warsaw, along with Indian cities like Lucknow and two others. With a crew of over 700 people, including action directors and stuntmen hired from Germany the production scale of the film promises to deliver spectacular visuals and thrilling sequences.
Excitement for the film is amplified by the announcement that “Bawaal” will have its worldwide premiere on Amazon Prime on July 21. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala expressed his enthusiasm for the project stating, “Bawaal is a very special film for me, and one of my most ambitious projects. It has been an absolute joy to produce this film which has been directed by my most loved filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari with Varun and Janhvi giving their very best in their first film together.” Nadiadwala further expressed pride in the film and eagerly awaits the audience’s reactions.
Director Nitesh Tiwari, too, shared his excitement about “Bawaal,” praising the chemistry between the lead actors and emphasising the film’s captivating storyline and dramatic visuals. He believes that the worldwide premiere on Prime Video will enable audiences in India and across borders to experience the film’s passion and commitment firsthand.
