28th June 2023, Mumbai: It appears that Pakistanis are not really pleased with the Pasoori replica, in addition to Indians. The funniest response to the brand-new song, which was reimagined for the upcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha, was tweeted on Tuesday by Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
Shoaib tweeted, “Aye ki pasoori paayi ay (What is this disaster).” 5000 people liked and retweeted the tweet. In the responses, someone expressed a similar sentiment. They wrote, “Beraa ghark kr k rkh dea (they have ruined it)” Another remarked, “Pasoori ruined by T-Series as usual.” A Twitter user retorted, “Another Day, another humiliation for T-Series.”
On Monday morning, the creators debuted the reimagined version of Pasoori Nu from Satya Prem Ki Katha, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. Reviews of the new edition are conflicting. Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar have given the vocals.
Last year, the Pakistani artist Ali Sethi’s song Pasoori, which combined literary tradition with world beats, became an all-around sensation.
The most-searched music on Google in 2022 was a Punjabi song with a title that loosely translates to “difficult mess,” and it has received over half a billion views on YouTube. The song, which features Turkish strings, flamenco-style claps, and the four-four Latino reggaeton beats keeping rhythm for much of today’s ruling pop, has the improvisational framework of a traditional South Asian “raga” mixed with the region’s contemporary sounds. Sethi was “astounded” by the global response to the song.
Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania are also featured in the movie.After their 2022 smash hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Sajid Nadiadwala and Sameer Vidwans’ romance drama reunites Kartik and Kiara. The previous title of the movie, Satyanarayan Ki Katha, which translates to Satyanarayan, another name for the Hindu god Vishnu, is the story of Satyanarayan. Satyaprem Ki Katha was chosen instead amid reaction.
