4 July 2023, Mumbai: All government and private educational institutions in the district will observe a temporary closure from July 8 to 16, according to district administration officials. The decision has been taken in light of the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, which commenced on Tuesday and is set to culminate on August 15 with the offering of holy Ganga water to Lord Shiva.
District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bengari has issued an order stating that all schools and colleges, including private institutions, are required to remain shut during the specified period.
