New Delhi (India) August 21: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Chief Abhijeet Dipke on Friday came down heavily on the Rajasthan police claiming it was a 'mute spectator' while its team was pushed out of Rampura Kanwarpura village of Rajasthan, where the visit was to inspect the government primary school as part of its ongoing 'School Thik Karo' campaign".

CJP Claims BJP Goons Attacked

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) also claimed that "BJP goons" attacked its members while the group was examining the government school in Kanwarpura of Rampura and demanded to know whether it had become an issue to investigate schools than to teach children in sheds.

“Rajasthan Police seems to be a mute spectator while goons attack CJP volunteers for visiting govt schools. They don’t seem to have a problem with schools running in buffalo stables, but somehow have a problem with CJP volunteers entering those schools. What exactly are they trying to protect?” Dipke said.

Ashutosh Ranka Forced To Leave

A confrontation occurred between village residents and CJP leaders - including its co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka - following which he was forced out of the village. Ranka said that the team was prevented from entering the village by people claiming to be locals but who were ‘goons called by BJP.’

“Their leader, Kamal Pradhan, engages in the work of encroaching on the land of poor people there. Children are being taught in a cowshed among buffaloes, and when attempts are made to stop this, the BJP is sending its goons. What a shameful situation,” he said.

School Visit Sparks Village Clash

The CJP workers had been to visit a school in Rampura Kanwarpura village but upon seeing them the villagers had allegedly opposed the workers entry into the village government school. On Monday the state government imposed certain restrictions on outsiders for entry into government schools for clicking photos and videos citing lack of privacy for the students.

It is alleged that the villagers blocked the entry of the CJP activists into the village and even clashed with CJP workers. There were roadblocks at the entry of the village for the CJP activists well before they could even enter it.

Jully Condemns Rajasthan Village Violence

Rajasthan Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully while commenting on the issue stated that such violence was not justified in a democracy and also criticised the state government.

"This is wrong. I condemn this. There should be no violence. The condition of schools should come to light. There is no place for such violence in India. People must present their views in a non-violent manner. Schools are in bad condition; they want to hide it and cover up their sins. They won't be able to do it," said Jully.
