Save The Date

International Yoga Day is celebrated globally on June 21 to endorse physical as well as mental well-being. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested in his 2014 United Nations speech to designate a special day for Yoga. The UN general assembly happily approved this yoga day and approved the resolution in December 2014.

Significance of June 21

PM Narendra Modi chose June 21 to be the International Yoga Day as June 21 is the longest day of the year with summer solstice in Northern Hemisphere. June 21 symbolises a period of development, growth, and reestablished ties to the natural world and oneself. The International Yoga Day this year, that is on June 21, 2024 will mark its tenth anniversary.

Theme in Year 2024
