Indian Embassies Issue Urgent Alerts
Indian embassies in Qatar, Israel and Iran have issued advisories for nationals in the respective countries, asking them to stay vigilant and monitor the news.
In the case of Iran, the Indian embassy has instructed nationals to remain indoors, stay aware of the happenings within Iran, and await any further instructions from the Embassy of India.
EU Pulls Staff from "Perilous" Middle East
The European Union said it was taking back the non-essential personnel from the Middle East. The union referred to the ongoing situations in the region as “perilous.”
EU’s diplomat Kaja Kallas said, “The latest developments across the Middle East are perilous. Iran’s regime has killed thousands. Its ballistic missile and nuclear programmes, along with support for terror groups, pose a serious threat to global security.”
Kallas added, “Protection of civilians and international humanitarian law is a priority. Our consular network is fully engaged in facilitating departures for EU citizens. Non-essential EU personnel are being withdrawn from the region.”
UAE Intercepts Iranian Missiles
The United Arab Emirates said that they have tackled the Iranian missiles. They also have reserved the right to answers to the attacks. Kuwait also engaged in strikes on Saturday.
“The Ministry of Defence announced that the United Arab Emirates was subjected today to a blatant attack by Iranian ballistic missiles. The UAE’s air defences responded with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of the missiles,” a statement said.
Saudi Warns Iran of "Grave Consequences"
Saudi Arabia has issued a condemnation of Iran's attack on Gulf countries and issued a warning about 'grave consequences'.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said, “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake. It also warns of the grave consequences resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law,” in a statement.
