21th April 2023, Mumbai: Actress Hansa Singh says that it’s time we take care of the environment, making the earth a safer place for our future generations. It’s important to take care of our natural resources, she says.
“Our home planet urgently needs our help. It requires our sympathy. Personally, I believe that you shouldn’t use something if you don’t need it. like turning off the air conditioning if it’s not needed. Keep all power outlets off when you aren’t in a specific room. These are the fundamental actions you can do to protect the environment. We must be cautious when using water as well; we must turn off the faucets when not in use. We must be mindful of both the hygiene issue and pollution,” she says.
Ask her if she thinks awareness campaigns work, and she says, “They occasionally work. Those who don’t comprehend, however, will continue to urinate right below the campaign hoarding. Kids probably comprehend this better than adults do. I therefore hope they only bring about the necessary change. They must start the transformation.”
Discipline is the key to change, she says, adding, “We need to be disciplined. If you can do some basic things, we are on the right track. Keep your surroundings clean, keep the streets clean and the environment clean. Also, it’s important to save electricity as well.”
