AAP Removes Raghav Chadha as Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader Names Ashok Mittal As Replacement
The party led by Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released Raghav Chadha from the position of party's deputy leader in Rajya Sabha and named its Punjab MP Ashok Mittal as his successor.
New Delhi (India) April 2:The Aam Aadmi Party has written a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to remove Raghav Chadha from the position of deputy leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha. Besides that, the party has also asked that Chadha should not be given speaking time out of the AAP quota in the Rajya Sabha, hinting at a major change in their parliamentary strategy. AAP has recommended Ashok Mittal as the new deputy leader in the Upper House and asked the secretariat to confirm the appointment as soon as possible.
