4th April,2024, Mumbai: Experienced performers convey a level of maturity in their performances that comes from negotiating challenging conditions in addition to hard effort. Their eyes clearly show that they have experienced things that have matured them. For my part, I think I’m better able to understand things and keep my expectations of other people reasonable.

Who is Abhinav Jindal’s Inspiration?

I take inspiration from cricketing greats such as Sachin Tendulkar, but my personal experience has shaped my viewpoint. Muhammad Ali’s confession in an interview—in which he declared his trust in Allah as his only protector—moved me especially. In addition, I’m constantly inspired by my father’s experience as a military officer. Having grown up in a modest household, I’ve learned the value of establishing a healthy work-life balance, developing mental toughness, and avoiding distractions. These teachings have greatly influenced how I have travelled.”

Abhinav Shares Experience With His Dad

“My dad was strict, and I felt like I couldn’t be myself around him,” he says in narrating his trip. But I felt like I had a fresh start because I could breathe at last as I went in front of the camera. I felt like I could breathe again when I was in front of the camera and I could start over. It seemed like a jail break to be in front of the camera because things weren’t good when I left Chandigarh. In addition, I was paid to act, so I didn’t feel anxious at all and saw it as a blessing.”

Abhinav On Starting His Career From Magzine Photoshoot

However, I was able to express myself freely when I was in front of the camera. It felt amazing to simply say my lines and express my feelings. In August of 2014, I relocated to Mumbai, not intending to pursue an acting career. However, for family reasons, I decided to give it a shot when my photo was featured in a magazine and I received an audition call. I figured I had nothing to lose. After hearing my mother’s encouragement, I reasoned that I should give it a shot.

I met an actor named Pankaj Mishra Ji on this voyage, and he recommended that I enrol in an acting school called “Kreating Charakters” since he saw my fearlessness and “do or die” mentality. He saw in me the capacity to flourish in the harsh atmosphere of the institute, which is infamous for its harsh culture and where many people find it difficult to stay, frequently departing after just 15 to 20 days. Nonetheless, I had a lot of support and encouragement from the institute’s lecturers, Samar Jai Singh, Rupesh Thapliyal, and Vijal Manral, who all saw something exceptional in me. It was then that I realised how much I liked acting. I chose to jump right in since I knew it would be a daring game.”

Who Motivates Abhinav Jindal?

When you ask him who motivates him, he replies, “I really looked up to Ranbir in Rockstar.” His path of love, grief, self-destruction, and redemption was evident in his character evolution, and I adored how his acting conveyed the complexity of human emotions. I too think Manoj Bajpayee ji is amazing because of how naturally he acts. Authenticity is more important to me than imitation when it comes to performing. I think it’s better to be authentically yourself than to strive to be like other people. My approach is going deep into a scene’s backstory, comprehending my character’s motivations, and learning the script’s underlying concepts.

Jindal on facing challenges in life

He claims that his life’s challenges have shaped the guy he is now. The obstacles I’ve faced over the last two years have changed the way I approach problems. I’m stronger and more mature because of them. After going through trials and tribulations, responding to circumstances comes naturally; pretending is not necessary. The development of one’s acting skills is greatly influenced by real-life experiences.
