Thackeray’s Intervention Application in Sushant Singh Rajput Case
Thackeray, through his intervention application filed on October 13, has sought a fair opportunity to present his side before any judicial decision is reached in the PIL. His application serves to underscore the notion that the state’s investigative mechanisms are already actively engaged in probing the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Thackeray’s Legal Stand
The intervention application echoes the sentiment that passing any orders in the PIL, while a concurrent CBI inquiry is underway, would be procedurally inappropriate. It accentuates the premise that an ongoing state investigation should be allowed to reach its conclusion before any additional intervention.
Seeking CBI Probe into Thackeray’s Alleged Connection
The PIL filed by the ‘Supreme Court & High Court Litigants Association of India’ demanded the immediate arrest and custodial interrogation of Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the “mysterious” deaths of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput. While the PIL remains pending for a hearing, Aaditya Thackeray’s legal move sets the stage for a critical judicial examination of the case’s maintainability and the ongoing investigations.
