5th July 2023,Mumbai: The upcoming movie Bawaal’s teaser may have just started a social media bawaal (calamity). The primary actors, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, are shown in the trailer inside what appears to be a Nazi German gas chamber.

Bawaal’s teaser reveals that it is a tale of star-crossed lovers. According to Janhvi’s voiceover, she ought to have been able to fall in love with Varun’s persona before it was “too late.” What she might be alluding to is suggested by the teaser’s final image. The two are heard calling out to one another, but the tight crowd keeps them apart. Then, a man is seen leaving what appears to be a gas chamber. However, a few commenters also defended the movie. They claimed that given his prior work, one should have faith in Nitesh Tiwari’s sense of aesthetic and refrain from drawing judgements before the movie has even been released.

The sports drama Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and starring Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is based on the life of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The last movie Nitesh directed was the National Award-winning buddy movie Chhichhore with Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor among others.

Nitesh Tiwari, Nikhil Mehrotra, Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain, and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari all contributed to the writing of Bawaal. Nadiadwala Grandosn Entertainment, owned by Sajid Nadiadwala, produced the film. Varun and Janhvi will be paired together for the first time in the movie. On July 21, it will have its online-only debut on Prime Video India without a theatrical run.
