6th October 2023, Mumbai: The new updates by Delhi metro is set to modernize the travelling of frequent metro travellers. The frequent metro Passenger can now book the metro ticket through WhatsApp and even and even use their devices to pass through the metro gates.
WhatsApp and Delhi Metro
The Delhi metro rail corporation has expanded their WhatsApp based ticketing system to cover all the lines of Delhi NCR along with Gurugram Rapid metro. This invention is created in partnership with Meta and Pelocal Fintech Pvt Ltd, this service will result in quickly booking of tickets for frequent passengers that travel through Delhi metro.
Furthermore, the managing director of Delhi metro Rail Corporation has expressed his confidence in this expansion with WhatsApp and ticketing system, he said “this will elevate the passenger travel experience within the metro.”

1. Send a message with a text hi to +91 9650855800
2. Choose the preferred language
3. Tap on ‘buy ticket’ option
4. Enter your location and destination
5. Enter the number of tickets you want to buy
6. Review the details and click on the payment options
7. You will receive a QR based ticket on your WhatsApp
Some more details to note
1. One can generate only six tickets maximum
2. Tickets booking are available between 6 in the morning to 9 in the evening
3. Ticket cancellation are not permitted when using WhatsApp method
